A Bitcoin Wallet is a mobile bitcoin app, a desktop software program or a physical custom-made device which is used to store your bitcoin public and private keys. The bitcoin wallet itself does not contain bitcoin as they are decentrally stored in a distributed ledger known as the bitcoin blockchain.
